Volunteer opportunities

Community built projects require volunteers at every stage. If you wish to join this exciting project, please complete the volunteer form. After you have signed up please click here for more information.

On September 20-25 of 2011, hundreds of volunteers will be organized as

• Builders (basic and skilled)
• Captains (experienced at leading crews, need to be available for the entire build week)
• Facilitators (safety, food, child-care, tool library)

Current needs

• Builders of any skill level
• 15+ construction captains- Individuals willing to spend all six days working on the project supervising teams of volunteers—Some need construction skills, some need organization skills.
• Artists willing to contribute their time & talents to help enhance the special features of the playground
• Assistance in locating individuals willing to loan tools for six day build blitz. We’ll keep them under 24 hour security and will return in a good or better condition, or we will replace them.
• Businesses, groups & individuals willing to donate meals/snacks for volunteers
• Donated housing and rental car for Leathers consultants during build week, September 20-26, 2011.
• Celebration Committee for ribbon cutting at 6PM Sunday September 25, 2011. It’s a BIG party and the whole community is invited!
• Volunteers to help entertain the day care kids-especially needed on Saturday and Sunday (face painters, clowns, game organizers)
